In a horrific incident, a girls’ school in Iran was targeted, resulting in 150 deaths—most victims being minor girls.

The missile attack took place at the school in Minab in Southern Iran.

UNESCO, other international groups & human rights bodies have condemned US-Israel’s strikes that have caused large scale deaths of minor girls.

The children were in class when the school was attacked. The death toll was reported to be in the range of 148 to 160 though figures could vary.

Apart from schoolgirls, several teachers were among those who died in this attack. The attack on school took place in Hormozgan province in Southern part of the country.

Iran castigated the US and Israel for the coordinated strike and charged them of violating the international law that doesn’t allow targeting of civilians, particularly, children and pupils.

This is indeed one of the most horrific incident of our times. The exact figure is said to be even higher, even up to 150, as per other reports
However, unlike past when world leaders walked together or strongly condemned incidents of atrocities or attacks, this extreme act has not been carried prominently in media, especially, in the West.
Leaders, premiers of the countries haven’t come out as strongly in condemnation of the attack, which is in clear violation of the international norms.

It was the most deadly strike during the ongoing series of attacks on Iran.

The Iranian authorities have said that it was a dastardly attack  and was an example of belligerence that even children who are protected from strikes were killed.  The Iranian lawmakers said that it was a grave violation of the international law.

Reacting to the incident, Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian said that it was a barbaric act.

A video clip that shows missiles strike the school and smoke rising from the building, has been accessed.  US has said that it was investigating the incident.
